CGA delivered works at the new Canary Wharf office building known as the BP4 tower. The project included the fit out of the basement, management suite, toilet blocks and shower rooms.
The management suite project required the supply and installation of new SAS ceilings tiles, new MF, drywall partitions, a Firefly curtain and special GRG curved light trough ceilings.
Gypsum cored plasterboard ceilings, plaster board margins and plaster board bulk heads were constructed in areas designated by the main contractor by means of a metal furring grid fixed to the structural soffit by means of steel 25×25 angle hangers or steel strip.
Partition types A1, D, D1, D2S, and E were installed throughout, in locations as specified using Gypframe steel studs, lined with plasterboard as specified then taped and jointed ready for sealer coats and decoration by others.
CGA also constructed a cycle facility in the basement for commuters by bicycle to store their bikes securely, complete with a metal mesh enclosure and cycle hoops.
We also provided 14 shower rooms, two dry rooms and one disabled shower room in the basement. In addition to three toilets for the management suite in the new 23 storey building.
