Cornus Restaurant Fit Out, Belgravia
CommercialCGA completed a £1m, 18-week rooftop restaurant fit-out at Cornus, Belgravia, delivering a stunning mid-century modern design with bespoke finishes and state-of-the-art facilities.
Read MoreThe project consisted of the stripping out and demolition of internal and external brickwork, block and internal partition walls. In addition, the removal of ceilings and services and installation and fit out of the ground floor in full; partial fit out to the first and second floors (together with core areas of the building).
The projects new services included, A/C, data and security. Including new toilet facilities, office reception, kitchen and restaurant, all with finishes, new walls and ceilings.
The building was occupied throughout the works and this meant keeping core areas open and toilets in use whilst giving partial possession to staff for the use of areas. The restaurant and various facilities were also completed and opened earlier than programmed.
The project constraints involved a major amount of logistics planning to keep at least 50% of the toilets open for use at any one time. CGA needed to provide the new tea point and restaurant facilities in a fast track programme before removing the existing tea point and restaurant areas.
Specialised secure partitions and doors were also required in areas that were still in use and much of the works were required to take place out of hours in order not to cause disruption to the client.
