December is when the construction industry briefly stops building things and starts talking about them instead. Two events made that worthwhile this year.
Connect 5 Breakfast
CGA co-hosted the Connect 5 breakfast networking event alongside Playle & Partners LLP, Spatial Dimensions, Simpson TWS and Kova at The Skyloft, Westfield Stratford. A venue that manages to make a working breakfast feel worth attending.
These events work because they are low-pressure. No agenda beyond making connections and catching up with people working across the same part of London's construction industry. Good conversations happen when people are not trying too hard to have them.
Christmas Dinner
The CGA Christmas dinner came later in the month, bringing together project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients who had been part of the year's work. A moment to acknowledge what had been delivered and to thank the people who delivered it.
2025 was a strong year for CGA. A varied portfolio across heritage restoration, community facilities, healthcare and education. The work was interesting, the teams were good.
CGA offices closed 24th December, reopening 5th January 2026.
