We are ecstatic to announce the completion of a project at the Royal Opera House - the Chorus Rehearsal Room. This project is a testament to our teams expertise in transforming spaces into a masterpiece of design and functionality. A Harmonious Blend of Design and Functionality
Our team meticulously fitted out the redesigned rehearsal space, focusing on acoustics and functionality. The newly installed stage flooring is tailored for optimal sound quality. The two-part removable balustrade offers flexibility, while the fixed point balustrade integrates seamlessly with the music bin stages. The heart of the project, a fully acoustic radius tiered stage, stands as a marvel of engineering and design.
Innovative Solutions for Enhanced Experience
Further enhancements include a custom-designed accessible stair lift, integrated stanchions within the new joinery, and comprehensive acoustic paneling throughout. We've refreshed the space with new floor finishes, adapted the existing ceiling, and adjusted the building's mechanical services to accommodate new floor grills.
Attention to Detail in Every Aspect
The room now boasts new curtains, a cutting-edge stage joinery and acoustic panel system, and modern lighting and controls. Additionally, we have adapted the existing fire alarm system to align with the new design.
Overcoming Challenges with Precision and Care
Facing the challenge of working in a busy, historical venue, our team showcased their exceptional skills in project management and design coordination. Our efforts ensured minimal disruption to the Royal Opera House's daily operations, while achieving a transformative impact on the rehearsal space. The project took 10 weeks to complete from start to finish and was delivered on time by our fantastic team of commercial fit-out experts here at Clive Graham Associates.
