March 25, 2024

At Clive Graham Associates (CGA), we've always believed in the power of transformation – not just of spaces but of communities and lives. As we step into April 2024, we're excited to share updates on projects that promise to redefine their environments, alongside milestones that mark our journey forward.

A Glimpse into Current Projects

Reinvigorating Goldsmiths Centre, Farringdon

Our journey this month begins at the Goldsmiths Centre in Farringdon, where we're reshaping the reception area to enhance security and aesthetic appeal. The removal of the existing reception desk and modifications to the entrance wall mark the first steps towards installing a new reception desk, with steel lintels inserted to provide further structural support to the alterations.

Bicester Bat Barn: A Unique Ecological Project

In an exciting departure from the norm, we're venturing into ecological service by constructing a man-made roost in Bicester, Oxford. This initiative aims to offer a stable micro-climate for bats currently inhabiting disused warehouses, coupled with the removal of hazardous materials, such as asbestos and cladding in preparation for demolition works.

Wentworth Primary School's Renewal – Dartford, Kent

The storm may have left its mark on Wentworth Primary School's sports hall, but our commitment to renewal shines through. We're not just replacing the roof; we're installing a state-of-the-art junkers sprung gym floor, a new heating system, and expanding storage capabilities to support the school's future. We love taking on education projects and seeing the impact it makes to the children and teachers that get to use them.

Commercial Fit-Out of Cornus Restaurant, Ice Factory, London.

In the heart of Victoria, the Ice Factory Building is set to become home to Cornus Restaurant. Under the helm of renowned restaurateurs Joe Mercer-Nairne and David O'Connor, we're crafting a space that promises unforgettable dining experiences.

Amplifying Acoustics at the Royal Opera House

After the successful installation of phase 1 acoustic panels at the historic Royal Opera House Chorus Rehearsal Room in Covent Garden, we're thrilled to continue enhancing the auditory experience with further installations.

Celebrating New Construction Projects and Achievements

St Louis Catholic Primary School's Transformation

Our recent project win at St Louis Catholic Primary School in Aylesbury involves phased refurbishment works that will breathe new life into its facilities. From modernizing toilets and communal areas to repurposing outdoor spaces for educational use, we're committed to creating environments that foster learning and growth.

6 Mitre Passage, Greenwich: A New Commercial Identity

The redevelopment of 6 Mitre Passage in Greenwich is here. Through demolition, alterations, and a new build extension, we're setting the stage for a vibrant retail future undertaking this commercial fit-out retail project. After the incredible results we have seen from the completion of Market Street Shop Front Fitting we are moving forward with this retail conversion project. Works include the strip out, demolition and alterations of the existing commercial unit and a new build single storey extension to provide a shopfront. The new build extension will be constructed near existing attenuation, rainwater harvesting and the 6 Mitre Passage substructure.

Damp-Proofing at Royal Exchange

At the Royal Exchange, our specialist damp-proofing was required to preserve the integrity of this luxury space. The project included pavement light maintenance at ground level, light replacement, renewed mastic joints and concrete pour. Basement store room works consisted of installation of a bespoke drip tray system and associated pumps. Finally, Sub-basement works were undertaken with removal of existing flaking paintwork and application of specialist damp proof paint to external walls.

Residential Revival at 14 Wetherby Mansions

The comprehensive renovation at 14 Wetherby Mansions highlights our expertise in transforming living spaces into modern, comfortable homes, complete with the latest in underfloor heating and stylish finishes.
