The Wilton Terrace project in Belgravia involved the refurbishment of the façade of a Georgian terraced building comprised of 28 flats. Erection of nine lift scaffolding to three sides of the building was needed to complete the works.
CGA arranged for scaffolding to all elevations to be protected with electronic security systems and also Monaflex sheeting fixed to all lifts on all the elevations and return at ends of scaffold.
The team then cut out all cracks in the render and filled all holes using Toupret to leave a smooth polished finish ready for redecoration.
The team replaced the lead capping to the perimeter cornice using code 5 lead with welted joints at 1500mm.
Allowing for fixing capping centrally between sheet sections using stainless steel screws covered with a lead welded patch. Dress down front edge with a drip detail.
Supply and lay new paving to match existing limestone to the same depths and heights laid on mortar dabs. Allow for repointing joints in stone sections using lime based mortar as per previous existing finish.
The works included remedial works to the façades including removal and reinstatement of specialist render and stucco works.
